Felix Mendelssohn, musical genius
Music in Mendelssohn’s life was everything, at the age of nine he already gave public piano concerts, and a few years later he began to write music. His teacher was the famous Zelter, who organized concerts of a little genius for many famous people.
When Felix was 16 years old, his father bought one of the best houses in Berlin. In their new premises there were many beautiful plants; it was in this beautiful place that the young man created his musical masterpieces.
While studying in Berlin, Felix Mendelssohn began to get acquainted with the work of the famous composer Bach and fell madly in love with his music.Once, during a vacation trip to Frankfurt, he met Cecilia Jean-Reno, who six months later became his wife. Their short life together was happy. The gentle nature of Cecilia harmoniously suited Felix's impulsive nature.
The last years of his life, the composer spent mainly in Germany and England. In 1847, his sister Fanny dies. Struck by this news, Mendelssohn stops concert activity. In the same year he suffered a stroke, with time - another one, after which the next day at the age of 38 the great composer died.
Felix Mendelssohn lived a short life, but his work had a significant impact on the history of world music.
